FirstRox Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Digiscalers ("we", "us") collects when you use the FirstRox website and mobile app, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details: your email address and name, or an identifier from Sign in with Apple or Google. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
- Profile and training data: information you enter, such as age, weight, height, experience level, division, race date and baseline times, and the workouts, runs, races and splits you log.
- Location: if you use GPS run tracking, your route and pace during a run. Location is only collected while you are tracking a run and you grant permission.
- Health data (optional): if you connect Apple Health or Health Connect, heart rate and distance you choose to share.
- Device information: a push notification token if you enable notifications, and, if you leave crash reports on, anonymous error reports (without your name, email or IP address) to help us fix bugs. You can turn crash reports off in Settings.
- Purchases: if you subscribe to FirstRox Pro, our billing provider RevenueCat receives your anonymous FirstRox user ID and purchase status from Apple or Google so we can unlock Pro. We never see your payment card details.
- Advertising (free accounts only): the free plan shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and approximate location, and, where you allow it (iOS tracking prompt, and the consent form shown in the EEA, UK and similar regions), use them for personalised ads. Ads never appear on Pro, and are never shown in the middle of a race, timer or workout. Change your choice any time in Settings, Ad privacy options, or in your device settings.
- Website: your email address if you join the waitlist, and the details you send through the contact form. We do not use advertising trackers on this site.
How we use it
- To provide the app: your plans, logs, races, sync across devices and reminders.
- To send the notifications you enable: training reminders (scheduled on your device) and an optional weekly summary of your training, which you can switch off in Settings.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To email you about the launch if you joined the waitlist, and to reply to your messages.
We do not sell your personal information. Free accounts see third-party ads as described above; we do not use the health, workout or location data you log to target ads. FirstRox does not use your data to train AI models.
Where data is stored and who processes it
Data is stored on your device and, when you sign in, on our servers so it can sync between devices. We use infrastructure providers (for hosting, subscription management, advertising on the free plan and, if enabled, error reporting and push notification delivery) who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.
Your choices and rights
- Export: download your data as JSON or CSV from Settings in the app (a Pro feature), or request a free copy from the same screen.
- Delete: delete your account and associated data from Settings in the app, or ask us on the delete account page if you no longer have the app. Deleted data is removed from our systems, subject to short-lived backups.
- Permissions: you can revoke location, notification and health permissions in your device settings at any time.
- Waitlist: unsubscribe with the link in any email, or ask us to remove you.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as access, correction, portability or objection. Contact us to exercise them.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Waitlist and contact messages are kept until you ask us to delete them or they are no longer needed.
Children
FirstRox is not directed at children. You must be old enough to consent to data processing in your country to use it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords, short-lived access tokens and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
